Your treatment begins with cleansing to refresh the skin and prepare it for the massage and skincare that follow.

Arrive With Clean Skin
Where possible, come to your appointment without heavy make-up or skincare so your therapist can begin with a clean base.
Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water before your appointment.
For those taking the Illuminated Vitality treatment, Lotus Spa advises to drink around 2–3 glasses of water beforehand.
Tell Us About Recent Treatments
Let your therapist know about any recent dental work or facial injectables.
If you've had recent Botox or fillers, Lotus Spa advises to wait two weeks before booking a face massage.
Keep Hydrating
Continue drinking water throughout the rest of the day and into the following 24 hours, particularly after lymphatic drainage.
Keep Make-Up Light
After the Illuminated Vitality treatment, avoid heavy make-up for the remainder of the day and allow your skin to enjoy the oils and skincare used during your treatment.
Take It Easy
Avoid intense exercise for around 12 hours after Illuminated Vitality. A gentle walk is encouraged after Lymphatic Drainage to help keep your circulation moving.
Limit Salt & Alcohol
Following Lymphatic Drainage, try to reduce salty foods and alcohol for 24 hours to prevent fluid retention.
